Do you take insurance?
Ross Valley Physical Therapy is primarily a fee for service clinic. We are currently in network with Medicare and will soon be contracted with other insurance companies. If you self pay, we will provide you with a “Superbill” which includes diagnosis, treatment codes, and record of payment. This can be submitted to insurers that we are not in network with. If you are interested in knowing your potential level of reimbursement, please call your insurance company and inquire about their coverage for “out of network physical therapy”. For those without insurance or insurance we are are not contracted with, we offer discounted self pay rates.
Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA)?
Yes! Absolutely! Physical Therapy is an eligible medical expense and using these funds can offset your out of pocket physical therapy cost.
Do I need a prescription?
No, direct access is now available, with limitations. California is a Direct Access state, which means that you do not need a physician referral for the first 12 visits or 45 days, or whichever comes first. If further therapy is needed past 12 visits or 45 days from your initial evaluation, you will need to get an evaluation from your doctor in order to continue therapy.
Do you accept walk-ins?
All sessions are by appointment only. Please use our online scheduling system. Feel free to call us at (415) 237-4448 or email [email protected] with any questions you may have.
What can I expect in my first session?
A comprehensive history of health including injuries/surgeries is taken. Expect to have some soft tissue work done and/or moving around and being active.
Do your therapists perform hands-on therapy or hands-on treatment at every visit?
Yes. Our physical therapy approach combines manual therapy techniques with neuromuscular re-education to promote proper alignment and movement. Our fitness training incorporates neuromuscular training with traditional strength training keeping longevity in mind. We also provide electrical stimulation and heat therapy.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in: athletic shorts, workout leggings, or loose pants for lower extremities. Most sessions include some form of manual therapy, neuromuscular activities, and strengthening exercises, so mobility is key!
Is there parking available?
Yes! See our contact page for information on how to get here.
